Basic Needs & Resource Matching works with clients through a strengths-based approach. This means we act as a coach and systems navigator to help our clients set and meet their own goals towards self-sufficiency. Most weeks, we meet with around 10 clients. Services include:
The Basic Needs & Resource Matching program offers resource matching and financial assistance to those in need in the Lyons area. Each LEAF client in the Basic Needs program works with LEAF staff to help reach their goals of financial stability and self-reliance. LEAF staff act as advocates for the client, helping them match resources that are available to them.
Basic Needs & Resource Matching is available for anyone in the Greater Lyons area. Due to COVID constraints, we are not currently able to meet face-to-face. Please email Ellen to learn more about this resource or about COVID-19 or Gig Grants.
- Financial counseling in partnership with Boulder County’s financial counseling program
- Financial assistance with rent, mortgage, utilities, transportation, and other basic needs
- Assistance with applying for public benefits
- Referrals to other agencies for further support
